The Wayfaring Mare has few protective structures.  The grounds are open for anyone who wishes to trespass as the gate is more decorative than functional.  It is something Morgana wishes to change in the future but as her focus was, at first, getting the inn fitted for guests, then the party, and the main house being secure, it means that any plans to replace the gates had to be put on hold.

It is petty of her to wish she had gates suitable to keep out her expected guest, one she was forced to invite because of the pride of two very stubborn individuals.  Sadly, Morgana is one of those two whose inability to back down has resulted in the current situation.

Thus, she is awaiting the arrival of Mordred.  In an attempt to look almost bored when he arrives, she is seated on one of the benches made by Melou, and petting Veda, who is quite happy to be permitted outside, even if it only to keep her mistress company.

The chill in the air is nothing in comparison to the hostess's attitude towards the impending arrival, but if Sagramore is going to be sorted, in any sort of way that might prevent him from one day being found dead in a ditch (an idea that has occurred to Morgana more than once, though she's yet to tell Sagramore) it is a necessary evil.

If Morgana were the type to be bouncy, or externally show impatience in public, she would here.  The impatience that she's trying to quell, isn't they type born of annoyance.  It's quite the opposite; she is impatient to share her news with Gwen.  Beneath that, is a small case of nerves that Gwen will not share her enthusiasm.

There are a variety of things to keep Morgana from missing Gwen -- the Countess, her daughters (Iola is such a lovely young lady, and Isa is infinitely amusing), Veda, meeting the new arrivals, keeping up with old acquaintances, yet that variety hasn't made up for anything.  Even the search for those she's lost isn't enough.  If Morgana is forced to make a new life -- different than the one that was expected, or the one she chose -- she cannot imagine being happy without Gwen here.

Morgana is well aware Gwen's been back to Camelot, and though there is the temptation to ask the way, she will not.  Once the decision was made to leave that life, returning would accomplish nothing.  There are simply some things in life that will remain unfinished and those issues that remains in her old life, will have to remain there, like a thread in a hem Morgana will have to refuse to pull.

So, Morgana's impatient for Gwen's return and is awaiting her near the stables.  The only outward sign of impatience, is that she refuses to sit, with all proper decorum, and is staring down the lane.

Morgana has something she is brimming with enthusiasm for, and deeply wishes her friend to hurry.
